Leadership, Problem-Solving, Compassion and Empathy

September 16, 2024October 15, 2016 by JosieHolford

cat-and-kittenAs Donald Trump spirals deeper into madness and depravity the toll on the collective psyche just grows.

Fortunately help is at hand in the form of the example of Hillary Clinton who recently demonstrated her tremendous problem-solving and self-calming abilities.

We all know that cats saved the internet. Now it seems they are saving people from the stress of this election season. In a remarkable display of leadership and empathy Hillary showed that she understands what we are all going through. She also shared her remedy for election disorder: Cats.cat-gifs

And while Clinton makes us smile we also have to be aware that she has borne the brunt of the irrational Hillary-hatred throughout her career. She seems to rise above it and we should be grateful that she does.

If you want to know what it felt like to be stalked by Trump at the last debate then watch this:

Meanwhile the menace that is Trump is causing real damage.

The media is full of reports of the Trump effect on mental health and the rise in racist and sexist bullying in schools and elsewhere. This week Maria Popova of the incomparable cultural  web source Brainpickings tweeted about the uptick in calls to the National Sexual Assault Hotline:

Meanwhile let’s all do our best to see the political poison he represents crash and burn. Let’s work for peace and harmony for people and politicians. And cats. peace-and-harmony
