Student Orientation

It was the first day of school for ninth grade, fifth grade and all students new to Poughkeepsie Day School. And the buildings were buzzing. The younger children found new toys and places to play and work. And all of them met their new teachers and learned more about what it means to be a part of this community.

We are at the highest enrollment in the history of the school.

As well as new families this year brings new teachers, new programs and all the excitement of new beginnings. We begin the year with program growth in the arts and just wait till you hear details of CS electives and activity choices for the older students.

More about some of the program growth later but for now, here are some pictures of the day as new students from pre-k through high school joined our community or moved up to another division.
